Do               you               have               tickets               to               a               Red               Sox               game               this               season?

If               so,               you               may               want               to               head               into               Boston               early               to               check               out               Jerry               Remy's               Sports               Bar               and               Grill,               a               restaurant               located               at               1265               Boylston               Street.

Does               that               name               ring               a               bell?

It               surely               does               for               Red               Sox               fans.

Jerry               Remy               is               probably               best               known               as               a               Red               Sox               broadcaster,               a               role               that               he               has               filled               for               over               twenty               years.

Others               will               recognize               him               as               a               Red               Sox               second               baseman               who               played               during               the               1970's               and               1980's.
The               restaurant               celebrated               its               grand               opening               in               April               2010.

With               a               360               person               capacity,               twenty               different               kinds               of               draft               beer               to               choose               from,               and               two               132"               by               72"               high               definition               projection               televisions,               it               is               no               wonder               this               restaurant               is               the               place               to               be               not               only               before               and               during               all               home               Red               Sox               games,               but               away               games               as               well.
As               for               the               menu,               Jerry               Remy's               boasts               the               talents               of               award               winning               chef               Todd               Hall.

The               restaurant               even               offers               guests               the               option               to               purchase               a               season               ticket.

This               ticket               is               good               during               all               Red               Sox               games,               including               playoffs.

It               allows               the               season               ticketholder               to               have               front               of               the               line               privileges               to               reduce               waiting               time               and               also               seating               at               a               table               of               your               choice.

The               season               ticketholder               also               receives               an               autographed               picture               with               Jerry               Remy               at               his               or               her               table,               a               $25               food               credit               plus               a               complimentary               beer               or               glass               of               wine               on               each               visit,               a               20%               discount               on               merchandise,               invitations               to               special               events,               and               waived               fees               for               booked               events               or               parties.

The               home               and               away               season               ticket               packages               carry               a               price               tag               of               $500               each.
My               fiancé               and               I               decided               to               check               out               the               Jerry               Remy's               experience               as               we               headed               to               the               Red               Sox               game               on               July               30,               2010.

After               checking               in               at               the               hostess               station,               we               were               told               there               was               a               45-minute               wait               for               a               table.

We               weren't               surprised.

Before               visiting               the               restaurant,               we               had               tried               to               make               online               reservations.

However,               there               were               no               more               times               available               before               the               game,               so               we               expected               to               wait.
The               time               passed               quickly               and               we               were               able               to               get               some               drinks               from               the               bar               before               being               seated.

As               we               walked               through               Jerry               Remy's,               we               noticed               that               the               appetizer               sporting               the               name               "The               Green               Monster"               was               probably               the               most               popular               item               on               the               menu.

This               appetizer               comes               on               a               three-story               tower,               complete               with               buffalo               wings,               sliders,               loaded               cheese               fries,               and               beer               battered               onion               rings.

Some               appeared               to               be               enjoying               this               gigantic               dish               as               a               meal               split               between               a               few               people.
The               many               televisions               around               the               bar               were               tuned               into               various               sports               shows,               including               various               Red               Sox               pregame               shows.

In               addition,               the               larger               projection               screens               featured               an               interactive               element,               allowing               patrons               to               send               text               messages               from               their               cell               phone               to               be               displayed.

Many               of               the               messages               had               to               do               with               the               Red               Sox               and               also               favorite               meals               to               order               at               the               restaurant.
After               being               seated               by               the               friendly               wait               staff,               I               decided               to               order               the               Veggie               Burger               and               my               fiancé               decided               to               order               the               Jalapeño               Cheddar               Burger.

The               wait               for               the               food               was               short,               and               we               both               thoroughly               enjoyed               our               chosen               dishes.

We               were               surprised               to               find               that               a               delicious               fried               pickle               was               served               with               our               meals!

Also,               the               fries               were               served               in               a               separate               dish               from               the               burgers               themselves,               and               it               was               full               to               the               brim.
